Fanny Meirovitch, daughter of the founder Zeev Abramovitch, was born in St Petersburg, Russia.
Together with her family, she immigrated to Eretz Israel, to Rishon Lezion, in the year 1882.
When being 19 years old, she married Manasseh Meirovitch in Rishon Lezion.
Her name is associated with preparing the first Hebrew flag; according to one version, the flag has been prepared at her father's house on his prayer shawl. Another version is documented in Israel's Belkind letter to Dubnov, written in 1885 ("Early Days", a magazine of words about the revival in Israel, Editor A. Droyanov). Belkind testified that he, along with Fannie Meirovitch, made the flag.
Fanny died at the prime of her life and was brought to burial in the old cemetery in Rishon Lezion.
