Ahuva Becker was born in Michigan, Detroit, United States. At the age of three, in 1926, she immigrated with her family to Eretz Israel, to -Ness Ziona and later, to Rishon Lezion. She attended the primary school ("Chaviv") in the township and the trade school in Tel Aviv. She continued her studies at the English College in Jerusalem.
In her youth she was a member in "Young Maccabi". She participated in the first Maccabiah games.
She was a volunteer in the "League of Fighting Tuberculosis", "Ilan" and "Israel's Cancer Association". She was a member of "Bnot Brit"; served as its President and was later an adviser to young (female) presidents
